The Chinese Embassy in Bishkek recommended the delegation visit سԹ because of its reputation as an exceptional and internationally-acclaimed higher education institution that graduates students with accredited foreign degrees. University President Andrew Wachtel sat down with the delegation and discussed the details of سԹ’s operations and successes, explaining سԹ’s international ranking and سԹ’s relationship with Bard College and the Kyrgyzstani Ministry of Education.
After a tour around the University and talking with President Wachtel, the Chinese delegation was impressed by سԹ, noting that سԹ was, in their estimation, the most independent and self-made university in the region.
President Wachtel closed the meeting by suggesting سԹ should keep talks open with Chinese educational institutions and affiliated ministries. “It would be great to produce graduates who could speak English, Russian, and Chinese!” said President Wachtel.
