Award of the Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence in Anthropology

On December 17, the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Department of Anthropology held an award ceremony dedicated to those students who were selected to receive the Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence in Anthropology.

Mary Schweitzer Selection Committee Members have selected four students for their outstanding achievements in the field of anthropology and divided the total 3000$ fund that was raised for this year among these students:

- Zhamilia Toktosunova
- Aizada Almazkekova
- Ilyas Kanybek

The scholarship was established in honor of Professor Mary Schweitzer in consideration of all she did for the benefit of anthropology at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and her ongoing commitment to the future of her former students. Mary Schweitzer is a US-based Professor of anthropology and she taught anthropology at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï from 2002 to 2003 and from 2004 to 2005.
