Zero Emission Day in ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï

On September 21, as part of the Climate Week in Kyrgyzstan the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Center for Civic Engagement hosted a Zero Emission Day. The event featured workshops, interactive games, and presentations by experts in the field. The event's primary purpose was to raise awareness among the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï community about the importance of reducing emissions. It served as a platform to educate and engage students, faculty, and staff in sustainable practices that can contribute to a zero-emission future. Additionally, the event intends to inspire attendees to take eco-conscious actions in their daily lives and advocate for emission reduction.

The event also featured a special guest speaker from UNISON Group and ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students participating in COY18 (Conference on Youth on Climate Change). They shared their experiences working towards a zero-emission future and highlighted the importance of collective action towards regulating issues with climate change.

Furthermore, Professor Sagynbek Orunbaev, the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Professor in the Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science Department, presented his scientific research on emissions reduction during the event. The study's central theme was focused on the global impact of emissions and why achieving zero emissions is crucial.

The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Zero Emission Day has successfully achieved its goal of raising awareness among the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï community.
