Dr.Aizhana Dzhumalieva, the Dean of the Journalism and Mass Communications Department at the ÍøÆسԹÏ, visited Oslo and Gothenburg, to develop and expand a new partnership between JMC/ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and European partners for future projects. In Oslo, she met with Hilde Tretterud, Secretary General at the Norwegian Union of Journalists, Elin Flodberghagen, Secretary General at the Norwegian Press Organization, and Mona Askerud, Council at the Farmers Organization.
Additionally, she gave an interview with Prof Audra Diers-Lawson from Kristiania University College for a class connecting sustainability and crisis, which will be used for a Master's course on sustainability at Lund Uni in Sweden.
Dr. Dzhumalieva also met with investigative journalist John Bones from SKUP media, who organized a visit to the Norwegian Press House.
In Gothenburg, she participated in the 7th International Crisis Communication Conference and gave a speech in the session on crisis communication and international conflicts. Her research topic is "Communicating Risk and Crisis amid Conflict: The 2021-2022 Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan Border conflict". In addition, she met with independent journalists and ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï alumni.
