Air Quality Research Project
On December 17, 2025, the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science (ESCS) in the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï (ÍøÆسԹÏ), together with the World People United (WPU) organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea, installed sensors to investigate the air quality in Bishkek.Ìý
4 students from the ESCS department under the supervision of Dr. Mairambek Nurgaziev will participate in this research. The main purposes of the research are: Improved Air Quality Monitoring: to create better air quality monitoring systems. Based on the research outcomes, improve cooperation with government agencies in order to develop effective regulations and policies. At the same time, training ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students, in air quality monitoring.Ìý
The following chemical components of air pollution will be investigated:
- Carbon monoxide
- Carbon dioxide
- Nitrogen dioxide
- Ammonia
- MethaneÌý
In addition, the representatives of the WPU organization (juehyuk@naver.com, phone/whatsapp 010-6271-2694) met with the President of the ÍøÆسԹÏ, Dr. Timothy O'Connor, and discussed current and future research projects that help improve the environmental situation in the country.
