On March 19, 2026, Dr. Mairambek Nurgaziev from the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science (ESCS) in the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï (ÍøÆسԹÏ), in collaboration with the World People United (WPU) Corporation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea, installed solar street lights and solar floor lamps on the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï campus.
Following previous technical support, which included the provision of sensors for air quality monitoring research, the WPU Corporation provided additional technical support by providing solar street lights and solar floor lamps to enhance the capacity of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï environmental laboratory named after Professor Zheenbek Kulenbekov.
Solar street lights and solar floor lamps will be used for educational and research purposes, as well as for lighting the university campus. It is an eco-friendly and cost-effective lighting. They provide high reliability with low-maintenance LED technology and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation, enhancing security while reducing carbon footprints.
As part of the "Blue Sky"Ìý air quality improvement program, solar street lights and solar floor lamps are planned for installation in Kyrgyzstan’s cities in the future to improve urban infrastructure and the environmental situation.
